It’s been a day, or a week, or an infinity of moments, since I posted the piece about the Motion to Lift the Status Quo Order, and I wanted to follow up with a couple of additional goodies.
First, I’d like to call everyone’s attention to a funny joke I made about how now we have a “Broments Section” — but seriously, I know I have advocated previously for reading these articles in the app or by clicking on the above headline and opening the latest version on the web, but my likely typo-edits are not the only reason for doing so. I now have an even better motivational hook for you.
The previous post had a lively (if not at times mansplaining) comments section that had some excellent discussion on the various issues at play. You’re very much missing out if you’re not catching both people’s insightful comments and questions, and what at times becomes something of a full-blown live Q&A.
So, one more time for the people in the back: download the app! You should be able to easily access the latest and greatest from there by just opening up the app. You can even make it read posts to you, if you are lazy or tired like me.
Today I want to cover some miscellany that have come up in the other interstitial spaces of discussion around this matter. I will also highlight some of the important notes from the comments section of the prior post.
And since it may surprise you to discover that I have human needs such as eating and sleeping, as well as actually working full-time as the Editor-in-Chief publishing this Daily Bad Boi™️, we are going to do this post in seriatim list style and you all can do a little bit of the dot-connecting for yourselves. And then, we can discuss further in the comments here!
Let me just take this opportunity to remind you, in case I haven’t made it absolutely crystal clear, that I am not here to help you time your option purchases or sales, or to otherwise help you enrich yourselves, other than cognitively and eruditely.
I make no prediction about when the Court will do or not do anything. I don’t have any special information or knowledge about what might or might not happen. I am not here to prognosticate. Like every other human being on Earth, I have an opinion. In fact, I have quite a few. My opinions are informed by my experiences, my biases, my personal whims and desires, my knowledge base, my likes and dislikes, my peccadillos, my bêtes noires, things rational and irrational.
I will never have a position in any of the matters that I am covering, because trust me, if I could stop myself from buying a single freaking share of Twitter stock last year (never mind options!) in the single most obvious trade of the Holocene Epoch, then I am absolutely certain that I will be entirely able to refrain from ever taking a mind-bending financial position in any of these legal matters that I discuss. Because trust me, I see how having a financial interest in these legal matters bends all your freaking minds in thinking about the issues at play, when y’all try to discuss them in the comments.
Without further ado, in no particular order, here are some moar thoughts on the AMC stuffs:
